The United Methodist Church announces that Alex Flores has been appointed pastor of the Methodist Churches in Gravette and Sulphur Springs.

Flores, a native of Califor­nia, graduated from college and attended flight school there. Later he piloted com­mercially. He attended Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa.

He has served in several pastoral assignments of min- istry and comes to Gravette/ Sulphur Springs from Al­tus.

He is the father of two children, Christian, 9, and Bethany, age 6.

Flores said he appreciates the warm welcome he has received. He said, "I would like to extend an invitation to any all single persons and families to visit us in Gravette at 11 a.m. if not attending elsewhere. We are a very lov­ing congregation. Or stop by my office (at the church) dur­ing the week. I would love to meet and visit with you.
